When it comes to fashion and style, we all look up to our favourite Bollywood celebrities. Every Friday when a new Bollywood flick hits the theatres it generally hits the fashion market as well. There are looks and trends that leave a huge impact on the audiences long after the movie. But there are also many looks that are forgotten because they don’t seem unique or memorable to the audience. These are some films and characters that gave us some amazing fashionable moments in Bollywood films.

1. Deepika Padukone in Cocktail:

This was one of her career defining performances and Deepika looked absolutely stunning in the film. From heavy sequined dresses to Aztec print skirts, Deepika’s wardrobe created more buzz than the film itself. The outfits in the film were fun and trendy and gave super Summery vibes. The colours were bold and the makeup complimented all the looks. This film surely gave some great fashion moments to Bollywood.

2. Alia Bhatt in Dear Zindagi:

Dear Zindagi brought its fair share of critical acclaim for Alia Bhatt and her cute chemistry with King khan Shahrukh. Another aspect that was clearly prominent in this ‘feel good’ millennial movie was Alia’s wardrobe. The movie clearly stood out in its fashion department and gave us all many chic boho looks to experiment with. From bohemian vibe maxi dresses to denim jackets and shorts, it is all cute and trendy.

3. Anushka Sharma in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

When it comes to Karan Joher movies you can always expect it to hit the right spot in the wheel of fashion. Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are styled and clothed by Manish Malhotra who is undoubtedly the fashion God of Bollywood. Anushka’s style brought the urban yet ethnic feel to the movie. Her oxidized jewellery and long vibrant kurtas stirred the fashion industry. The fusion of ethnic and western inspired a lot of girls and became a thing after this movie.

4. Saif Ali Khan and SRK in Kal Ho Na Ho:

Bollywood has also inspired some trends in Men’s fashion and Kal ho na ho was one such film which showed us some urban chic male fashion. Saif Ali Khan and Shah Rukh Khan both looked great in their cool yet mature looks with V necked cardigans, sweaters, hoodies and of course their amazing Sherwani looks in the song ‘Maahi Ve’. The film was set in New York and the fashion reflected the same with the muted colours and trendy looks.

5. Kareena Kapoor in Veere di Wedding:

Directed by Rhea Kapoor, this film may not have had a lot of plot but it surely had a lot of fashion and glamour and it was great. Kareena playing the bride in the story had some amazing and extra outfits and looks that will give major inspiration to any to be bride. From embellished cholis to Black jumpsuits, there were many signature looks that we loved from the film. All the leading ladies in the film had iconic looks and did full justice to them.
