Aishwarya Rai is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful women in the world and this has been proved time and again by different titles and pageants. She is not only a gorgeous human but also an extremely talented actor and dancer. Basically, Aish excels in anything and everything she pursues. As an international star and icon she frequents big events like Cannes and other various fashion weeks often. Recently, she showed up to the Paris fashion week 2019 and stunned the whole crowd and the internet.
Aishwarya being a brand ambassador for L’Oreal for several years now, walked the ramp for the make-up giant in a Giambattista Valli ensemble for their L’Oreal Paris Le Défilé show. The 45-year-old actress has been a top choice for several designers to showcase their hero ensemble from latest collections during Indian and international fashion shows. She is a Cannes Film Festival regular, which she has been attending for L’Oreal for over a decade.
Aishwarya walked the ramp in a foral and flowy Purple gown. Her outfit was
vibrant and fluid and
her
accentuated eye makeup and coral lip colour was pretty eye catchy and stole the
show. Her hair was tied up in a messy bun which gave more attention to her
makeup and outfit without getting in the way.
However, her look did not impress everyone as there were some who showed their
criticism as well. She got a thumbs down for her look from designer Wendell
Rodricks, who blamed the former Miss World’s stylist for the final look. Wendell
Rodricks, a celebrated designer, shared pictures from Aishwarya’s ramp walk on
his Instagram page and said that the ‘designer should be sacked. He wrote,
“L’Oreal, you have one of the prettiest girls in the world and this is how
you do her make-up and dress her? Sack the stylist for this sack dress with a
note that Halloween is next month.” The designer was brutal with his
criticism that was notdirected at Aishwarya, but the stylists and designers who
dressed her.
This proves that fashion can never be objective and remains an individual
concept. What may be appreciated by some can be brutally criticised by others.
As they say in the entertainment industry, ‘you can never please
everyone’. Her look got mixed reviews but was definitely talked about and
created a stir which is what the fashion industry is all about. There were many
other big names and brands present at the fashion week. Eva Longoria and Dame
Helen Mirren also walked for big designers at the event. Aishwarya represented
India very well as always and caught a lot of eyes at the fashion week wither debut.
She also took her daughter Aradhya along who must have had a blast for sure.
Aishwarya’s outfit may have been disliked by some but no one can deny how
beautiful she looks no matter what she wears. Her grace and confidence wins us
over everytime. Hopefully, we see more of her soon be it the ramp, red carpets
or the big screen.
